Eckhaus Latta Ludlow

Fashion brand Eckhaus Latta’s Ludlow Street location is the culmination of a multi-year search for a space large enough to an expanded store, a studio workspace, and backstock and archive storage. The long thin ground floor is subdivided to create a studio at the rear and a dressing room area. Clerestory windows above the studio wall allow light from a large skylight at the back of the space to filter into the retail area. Long lines of new lighting run across the ceiling, which is painted silver. A warm creamy wall color and high-gloss gray floors provide a flatteringly neutral backdrop for the clothes and accessories. Custom bag hooks and hanging racks both get resin-filled ends.
